History of Navsari

The history of Navsari city is very rich which is developed in northern Surat district, in the eastern of Dang district, and in the western there is Arabian Sea roaring near it. The Purna Stream goes into from Kurel town in Navsari Taluka. Here, The Purna river’s length is 36 km. Navsari region is south Gujarat's historical and traditional town. It is located at around 150 feet above the sea stage therefore in summertime also the weather is enjoyable here. Navsari is a place on the wide evaluate train range between Mumbai and Ahmedabad. Because of Ahmedabad - Mumbai National Road No.8, Navsari is linked with all big places of Gujarat through Gujarat Condition Transport Corporation’s bus support.


Navsari was the main city Vadodara State before independence. From 1st May 1949 Navsari was involved in Surat area and in July,1964, at the duration of reformation of Surat area it was involved in Valsad area. The existing Navsari District has come into lifestyle since 2nd Oct 1997.According to old documents it can be seen that Navsari was popular from the 7th millennium. During the duration of 671 A.D., it was known as Navsarika and this region was decided by Laat Division of Chalukya empire. It seems that expert Avnijanashray Pulkeshi of this empire was judgment in those days. King Pulkeshi had beaten and motivated out the Arabian Military which had assaulted Navasarika. This Chalukyan concept seems to have ongoing until 740 A. D. During now, poor Koli and Rajput inhabitants was spread past their prime of Navsari.


It seems that at that period Shiladitya’s Expert Naagvardhana had remained in the current Naag Talavdi place. Therefore this region became popular as Naag Manda” and progressively with passing of your efforts and effort this district’s current name “Navsari” came. In 825 A. D. the founding father of Sant Panth, the excellent Saiyed Nuruddin alias Saiyed Sadat had remained in Navsari’s Lunsikui place. As his wonders were distribute in the nearby towns, he became popular as Auliya or the excellent man. As per the previous documents, due to this, Navsari’s popularity had increased. As an indication of Auliyas popularity in Lincikui place, nowadays also Rojas, mosques, Hauj and other important structures can be seen in this region.
